Thrasher Foundation Repair Announces Recipients of 50th Anniversary Giveback Project
$250,000 in Free Repairs to Be Donated Across the Midwest on July 7, 2025
In celebration of its 50th anniversary, Thrasher Foundation Repair will donate $250,000 in free foundation and structural repair services to seven nonprofit organizations across the Midwest. This effort is part of the company’s most significant community give-back initiative: Thrasher Gives Back Day, on July 7, 2025. In five states, the selected recipients will receive professional repairs to continue their missions and better support their communities.
“We’re incredibly excited to give back to these amazing community organizations,” said Dan Thrasher, CEO of Thrasher Foundation Repair. “Each one is doing meaningful, life-changing work, and it’s an honor to support them in a way that helps them keep serving others. We’ve been part of this community for 50 years. Giving back through these repairs is one way we can say thank you and do some good where it’s needed.”
2025 Giveback Recipients:
Nebraska Recipients:
Abide Omaha will receive repairs to one of its Lighthouse Program homes. These homes anchor underserved neighborhoods, reducing crime and increasing neighbor-to-neighbor relationships. Refurbishing the property will help revitalize North Omaha and continue Abide’s mission to foster leaders, create safe neighborhoods, and strengthen families.
Good News Church in Omaha will receive repairs to the Joseph House, a transitional housing facility. Currently uninhabitable, the property represents a loss of income and mission for the church. The improvements will allow them to offer the home free of charge to those in need for six months out of the year, supporting its long-term vision of expanded community outreach.
A Genoa, Neb. homeowner will receive concrete and drainage repairs to their patio and basement. The homeowner, recently diagnosed with breast cancer, had to pause work to begin treatment and had to put the needed repairs on hold. Thrasher’s repairs will make the home safer and more comfortable during a challenging time.
Iowa Recipient:
Link Associates in Des Moines will receive repairs to one of its residential homes serving adults with intellectual disabilities. The improvements will ensure a safe, healthy living environment for current residents, allow the organization to serve more individuals, and make greater use of the home’s basement space.
Missouri Recipient:
The Drew Lewis Foundation’s SBC Bike Shop in Springfield will receive basement waterproofing at its youth-operated bike refurbishing shop. The current water intrusion damages donated bikes and parts, creates health and safety hazards, and limits the organization’s ability to run other basement-based programs. The repairs will protect the space and expand its impact.
Kansas Recipients:
Wichita Habitat for Humanity is partnering with Thrasher to help local homeowner Karina get critical repairs to her home. These improvements support the organization’s mission to build strong, stable communities through affordable housing and necessary home repairs.
First Christian Church in Topeka will receive critical accessibility upgrades. The church serves as a weekday childcare center for 133 children, a mobile food distribution site for Harvesters, and a meal-prep partner for the Topeka Rescue Mission. These updates will ensure that all community members can safely access the building and its essential services regardless of ability.
Colorado Recipient:
Hope House Colorado in Denver will receive facility repairs on its drainage, crawl space, and concrete to support its work with teen moms. Hope House offers residential programs, GED classes, mental health services, and an Early Learning Center, helping young mothers gain independence and economic self-sufficiency.
