Who We Are- Thrasher's Purpose, Mission, and Values

At Thrasher Foundation Repair, we are different. In some ways, you could think of us as the un-contractor. That is because we believe that our purpose is to redefine what it means to be a contractor. We do that through people. We do that through three different types of people:

  • Customers- we believe experiences can be remarkable.
  • Employees- we believe fulfilling work creates fulfilling lives.
  • Contractors- we believe more is possible.

We are on a mission to prove all of this to be true. Our mission is to deliver a 'wow' experience and challenge the status quo. Most people have had experiences with home improvement contractors, and most of the time, the experiences are mediocre at best. Often, they are downright terrible. We want to change that through our actions. We want customers to have great experiences and say that they were glad they worked with us. While the work we do isn't something people usually look forward to, we want to make the experience as painless as possible.

While many contractors offer seasonal work with mediocre benefits, we can provide a great job with advancement opportunities for our teams' families. We are investing in training and leadership development so that our team can continue to grow from the inside. This helps us keep people and, in turn, makes us more efficient so that we can stay competitive.

By raising the bar on customer service, we are also elevating what is expected of contractors. We can share what we learn with contractors from around the country in our industry, and we network with contractors outside of our industry in the communities we serve. This makes us all better.

Our purpose, mission, and values are more than just words on paper. They are the driving force behind the decisions we make every day. The impact the way we hire, train, and respond to adversity. We aren't perfect, but we are willing to admit when we fall short and find solutions that work for all involved.

The team knows how to navigate these challenges by learning and living our purpose and mission. They also know that they should make decisions through the lens of our four core values:

One Team- we are individuals unified as a family and empowered to be extraordinary.

One Passion- we are relentless in our pursuit of constant improvement.

One Experience- we provide wow service to every customer, every time.

One Community- we are an advocate for our community, returning the blessings we've been given.

Operating Evergreen

At Thrasher Foundation Repair, we also borrow a principle from the Tugboat Institute called Evergreen. Dave Whorton, the founder of Tugboat Institute, says, "Evergreen businesses are led by purpose-driven leaders with grit and resourcefulness to build and scale private, profitable, enduring, and market-leading businesses that make a dent in the universe.

Through our Purpose, Mission, Values, and by thinking Evergreen, we are able to attract and retain many of the brightest people in their field. They come to work with a passion for what they do because they recognize the impact that it can have on the people inside and outside of our organization.

In a nutshell, being Evergreen means that we try to make decisions based on the assumption that we will be here in 100 years or longer. That means choosing to do things right the first time, ensuring people in the organization thrive long term, and continuing to innovate and evolve as an organization.

We take a "whatever it takes" approach to keeping customers happy.
