Basement Water Proofing in Altoona, IA

This homeowner's main problem was preventing water from entering their basement for health and safety reasons.  To address this issue, we installed the CleanSpace wall system. Unlike paint and other wall-adhering materials, CleanSpace is mechanically attached to the basement walls using plastic drilled-in fasteners, keeping it in place. CleanSpace will never chip, peel, or flake away from the concrete. Additionally, any water seepage through the walls will be directed down into the drainage system to keep the basement dry and protected. By choosing CleanSpace, we successfully addressed the homeowner's concerns and provided them with an effective solution.

This homeowner recently faced a leaky basement wall in her house. Water seepage through the walls was causing damage and making her worried. Thrasher Foundation Repair installed CleanSpace, a permanent solution that is far better than traditional paint and sealants as they can chip, peel, or flake away. Any water seepage is directed down into the drainage system as well. Additionally, CleanSpace is a good option for covering large boulders or dirt sections because it can be shaped around objects. Basement Repair in Algona, IA

This customer was experiencing water in the basement and was tired of cleaning it up every time it rained. After we inspected, we realized the problem was the exterior drainage. To fix the issue, our crew installed a full perimeter interior drainage system, vapor barrier, and a sump pump. These three systems will work in conjunction with one another to make sure three things happen:

  1. To keep their whole basement dry
  2. To prevent mold
  3. To make sure the basement stays dry all the time

Basement Waterproofing in Algona

This customer wanted to finish his basement, but did not want to worry about getting water anymore. He called us out to do a full home inspection and we determined the best route would be to install a full perimeter interior drianage track, sump pump, and vapor barrier. We were able to install all three and fully waterproof his basement to stay dry all the time and keep the water out.

Wall Anchors to Save Bowing Garage Wall

We installed wall anchors in this home to hold the wall and prevent it from coming inward any further. These wall anchors will also work overtime to straighten the foundation wall. The homeowner, in this case, wanted to put drywall on his basement walls, but the drywaller noticed the wall was bowing inward and was concerned about the structural integrity of the home. When we inspected the home, we found the wall of the garage was bowing inward from the active wedge the soil places on the wall. This caused several cracks to develop in the mortar joints overtime.
