Helical tiebacks are used to straighten and strengthen existing walls that are bowing or failing. They can also be used for new construction projects as prevention for failing walls. With no grouting required, this solution is both minimally invasive to your home and economical.
Problem soil is removed from the project area. The anchors are drilled deep into the ground, bypassing unstable soil until competent soil is reached. The other end of the anchor is attached to an anchor bolt and steel plate. These steel plates hold the anchors in place, thus supporting and repairing the damaged wall. Depending on the severity of the bowing and the size of the affected area, a series of tiebacks can be installed along one wall.
