Pool Deck Renovation in Leawood, KS

This customer has a pool in their backyard and discovered that the concrete around it was sunken. She wanted to get it fixed so that it couldn't get any worse. Our team was able to lift the sinking concrete back to its original position using PolyLevel, a polyurethane foam that is injected beneath the slab to stabilize it. To finish off the project, we sealed all the cracks and joints for long-term protection. Now this homeowner can enjoy their pool without having to worry about their concrete!

Front Sidewalk Repair in Creston, IA

This homeowner is starting to get a little older and was worried about the trip hazards that were in her walkway and driveway. She had seen the ads for Thrasher Foundation Repair on her TV and decided to give us a call. System Design Specialist, Elliot Christians, came out to meet with her. He did his full thorough inspection, and found there was washout of soil under the concrete that was causing the concrete to settle. He came back to the homeowner with these findings and a solution. Together, they decided the best solution for her concerns would be to use our 2 Part Concrete Protection System. This consists of Polylevel and NexusPro. PolyLevel is used to lift, level, and stabilize the concrete, and NexusPro is used to seal the joints and cracks. Both of these products are also waterproof, so it will help prevent any washout in the future! Check out the before and after of this project. We know this homeowner does not have to worry any longer and has the peace of mind she needed!

Street Creep Stopped in its Tracks in Leawood, KS

Did you know that the road in front of your house can hurt your foundation? Concrete grows when it's hot and shrinks when it's cold. To reduce the issues caused by temperature changes, Thrasher installs expansion joints in exterior concrete slabs such as sidewalks and driveways. These joints absorb and spread out the stress, allowing the concrete slabs to expand and contract without touching, which lessens the risk of cracking.

However, over time, standard expansion joints may deteriorate, crack, or become filled with debris. When this occurs, the concrete expands altogether, resulting in street creep and a lot of pressure where the driveway meets a garage slab or foundation wall.

To Prevent this, we used Compression Guard on this driveway, which fills the joint in a way that reduces the problems we see with standard expansion joints.
