Thrasher Foundation Repair Before & After Photos

Martin F. was looking for a proactive approach to removing water from his basement and wanting to protect his home from future humidity and mold concerns. During an annual maintenance call, he was able to address his concerns.

Service Technician Brandon Roast found the sump pump was starting to fail in the basement. This left Martin at a higher risk of water damage and high humidity in the basement. Brandon was able to install a new sump pump and a Sanidry Sedona Dehumidifier to give Martin’s home a proactive solution to prevent water damage from occurring. Martin was happy that we were able to provide him with a same day solution.  

Homeowner Myrna S.  has been doing renovations on her home and was getting ready to sell the home. The last project on the concrete that had settled. Not sure what to do with the concrete, she decided to call Thrasher after getting recommendations from friends and seeing one of our commercials.

System Design Specialist Jon Grover arrived at her home. He was able to see that the front wall and steps had settled. We used PolyLevel to raise the settled areas back up to the original level and then applied NexusPro Joint Sealant to seal up the joints to prevent water from entering again. Myrna was very happy with how the concrete looked.

Chris D. is a proud homeowner in Omaha, NE for over 11 years and has watched the sidewalk in front of his house break over time.  In order to inspect the damaged areas, System Design Specialist Bob Dunn visited Chris’s home to investigate possible solutions. The homeowner opted to have our team install our PolyLevel foam and NexusPro filler. PolyLevel foam is our innovative product that permanently lifts and levels the concrete. NexusPro is then used to seal all joints and cracks to prevent water from seeping into the concrete in the future.

It was determined that it was experiencing stage two wall failure and was visible from both the outside and inside of the home.

 To begin repairing the foundation wall, our team used five of our GeoLock Anchor systems to permanently stabilize the wall and return it to its original position over time. The team opted to use this product because there were obstructions in the home’s joists that would have been costly to move. These anchors are embedded deep into stable soil and then attached to the steel plates on the interior of the wall (pictured in the after photo). GeoLock Anchors are installed year-round and often completed in less than one day.

To begin the project, System Design Specialist Dan King arrived at the Waukee, IA home to perform a thorough inspection on the problematic concrete. It was clear the down spouts were pushing water towards the concrete and eroding the soils underneath causing it to lean. As a result, the control joints were beginning to fail and allowing water to seep in. Our teams began repairing the concrete by installing our PolyLevel foam to lift and level the leaning concrete. They followed this up by applying NexusPro to all cracks and joints to permanently prevent water from entering and causing future damage.
