Thrasher Foundation Repair Before & After Photos

Homeowner Joan F. was tired of the musty smell in her home. She would notice it when she was gone for an extended time and then notice the smell upon return. She was ready to fix this permanently and gave Thrasher a call.

System Design Specialist AJ LaVoie went out to Joan’s home. He was able to see that there was water intrusion in the crawl space that was causing the musty smell. The crew installed a full perimeter drain line system in the crawl space and tied together with a SuperPump system. We then encapsulated the entire crawl space with CleanSpace to permanently separate the outside from the rest of her home. We finished this project by burying her discharge line from the sump pump. Joan was happy to never have to the musty smell in her home again!

Longtime homeowner Cindy B. has been noticing her concrete is settling. The worse area was her front steps which has settled so much there had become a major trip hazard. Concerned about the rest of the concrete not being safe, she decided to call Thrasher for concrete repair services.

System Design Specialist Britton Wood went out to Cindy’s home. He was able to recognize that 4 slabs in the driveway had settled. Also, the stair were below code raising concern for safety and caulking in the driveway was coming up and flaking. We used PolyLevel for the concrete slabs and stairs, this raised and leveled the area back up to a safe height. We sealed all the cracks and caulking with NexusPro Joint Sealant. Cindy was pleased to have all of the concrete back up to code!

Rick E. is a homeowner in Jewell, IA and has struggled with wet basement issues for years. All he wanted was a basement that no longer leaks and to prevent mold growing in order to protect his grandchildren. The space wasn’t functional, and therefore taking away from the potential enjoyment of the home for Rick and his family. Due to our reputation and ability to provide a permanent solution, Rick called Thrasher Foundation Repair to return his basement to its original state.

To begin the project, System Design Specialist Rich Lahtrum arrived in Jewell, IA to perform a full inspection. Rich indicated that there was water breaching the foundation causing the walls to leak. To combat this, our team installed our CleanSpace waterproof plastic barrier and routed the water away using the WaterGuard drainage system. These two products combined provide a permanent solution to any wet basement and peace of mind for humidity, and mold growth by keeping moisture out.

System Design Specialist AJ LaVoie went out to Diane’s home. The concrete and sidewalk slabs sunk due to the weight of trucks that pulled up on to the area. Moisture had also gotten under the concrete due to exposed cracks and control joints. We were able to level out the sunken slabs with PolyLevel and seal up the cracks and control joints with NexusPro Joint Sealant. To prevent further damage to concrete and the home’s foundation we also installed CompressionGuard in the bottom of her driveway.   

Marvin and Mary C. were tired of always having water intrusion in their basement. They had spent a significant amount of time getting this fixed, but no solution had worked. They wanted a permanent solution that would last, as previous customers Marvin and Mary, decided to call Thrasher.

We sent System Design Specialist Brandon Brown out to their home. He has able to see that there was extreme cracking and wall failure with over 3 inches of deflection in the middle of one of the walls. Hydrostatic pressure and expensive soil had caused a freeze line crack. The crew installed Geo-Lock anchors to stabilize the walls. Marvin and Mary were thrilled to know their walls would be stable now and appreciated the work the crew put into installed the Geo-Lock Anchors.
