Thrasher Foundation Repair Before & After Photos

Homeowner Tonya H. had plans to replace her concrete after major settlement and cracking had happened. She was concerned about water getting through the concrete and entering her basement. After hearing that there were other solutions to saving her concrete, she decided to call Thrasher.

System Design Specialist Jon Young went out to Tonya’s home. He was able to identify that a 2-part concrete protection system would fix the concrete and she didn’t need to go through the hassle of replacing concrete. The crew started with PolyLevel, which was able to lift and level the concrete back up to the original height. Then the crew used NexusPro Joint Sealant to seal and prevent water from entering the joints.  Tonya was thrilled with how her concrete looked and how easy this solution was instead of replacing the concrete.

Bill and Miriam B. have lived in their Omaha home for over 22 years and want to continue to live there for years to come. Unfortunately, over time their driveway and sidewalks have settled and spalled in areas exposed to high usage. At an older age, Bill and Miriam had no desire to tackle the project on their own. While one of our teams was at Bill and Miriam’s home for an annual inspection on their waterproofing system, Bill brought the concrete to our attention.

 To begin the project, System Design Specialist Jeremy Haynes visited the Omaha property and inspected what the concrete needed. Bill and Miriam opted to have our team install our 3-part concrete protection system (CPS) which includes PolyLevel, SealantPro, and NexusPro. The PolyLevel is applied first in order to lift and level the settled areas. SealantPro is then used to protect the concrete against any future deterioration and stains. Lastly, the team finished with the NexusPro to seal all expansions, control joints, and seal any cracks that have already been formed.

 Bill and Miriam were excited to have this project complete, and the longevity of their home increased for their benefit. Bill has always taken it upon himself to tackle this project, but he now relies on Thrasher to make sure his home is in good hands.

Homeowner Star S. noticed that her sump pump was running a lot and there was a lot of water. She was worried that the existing dehumidifier was no longer working and causing problems in the basement. Concerned about the upkeep of her home, she discussed this during her annual service appointment.

Service Technician Chuck Kain was able to look at her existing dehumidifier and see that it was no longer working. He recommended that Star replace the dehumidifier with an up-to-date SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier. After installing the new dehumidifier, the relative humidity went down and is now able to be controlled. Star appreciates Thrasher’s annual maintenance program for helping her with the upkeep of issues like this.

Joyce K., a homeowner in Bel Aire, KS, has watched the concrete on her driveway and around her home continue to settle over the years. Water from downspouts has washed away the soil underneath the slabs causing it to sink and even crack in certain areas.  System Design Specialist, Jon Graves, arrived at the Bel Aire home to inspect the surrounding concrete. Joyce loved how we addressed all the concrete on the property and immediately felt the price was fair. From there, our team went to work in applying our full concrete protection service. In areas where the concrete had sunk, they installed our PolyLevel foam solution to permanently level the surface. In order to seal the cracks in the concrete, the team utilized our NexusPro silicone-based joint sealer to prevent moisture from seeping beneath in the future. Lastly, SealantPro concrete sealant was applied to protect the surface and extend its life for years to come.

 Joyce couldn’t have been happier with the appearance of her newly leveled and sealed concrete. Aside from the physical appearance, she was pleased with our team’s politeness and efficiency throughout the project. She makes the right choice and continues to put her trust in our brand.

Houseowner Debra K. recently moved to Wausa, NE where she would settle in her forever home. She chose to remodel the entire house except for the basement after noticing the foundation walls were beginning to fail.  One of our System Design Specialists, Ryan Van Cleave, arrived in Wausa, NE to perform a complete inspection of the home. Ryan indicated there was stage-two wall failure in three different walls, and over time would continue to move inward. During the inspection Ryan also noticed the support beams beneath the floor were severely cracked and lacked the structure the floor would need for years to come. In order to make her forever home a reality, Debra made the decision to follow through with both solutions.

 To combat the failing foundation walls, the team installed our PowerBrace wall support system and wall anchors to stabilize them permanently without any invasive drilling or digging. Then, SmartJacks were installed to replace the existing support beams to give her flooring the structure it needs to last. These Thrasher solutions gave Debra the confidence she needs to begin remodeling her basement.

 In addition to the outcome, Debra was more than pleased with our efficiency throughout the duration of the project. Her basement is now a usable space, and ready for her to complete her forever home.
