Basement Waterproofing & Drainage Before & After Photos

This customer had a failed sump pump that he inherited when he moved in. Because he has a lot of home projects going on right now, he didn't want to worry about the pumps moving forward. He wanted it fixed, fixed now, and fixed right. He had Thrasher protect his previous house and knew he wanted another Thrasher system in his new home. So we sent Tony Taylor to his home to inspect the sump pump situation.

He found that the primary pump had failed and was in two pieces at the pit's bottom. The battery backup attempted to keep the water down but slowly lost the battle with a moderate amount of rain. Upon arrival, we immediately switched out his failed pump and battery backup with a Zoeller M53 pump and an UltraSump battery backup system. After showing him his current pit and what a TripleSafe pit would be able to do for him, he decided to replace it with a TripleSafe and add in a second pump and replace the liner with something more functional that could collect and discharge the water better.

This homeowner had a problem with water getting into their house through the joints. Over time, the water found its way into the joints and then inside the house. Even though the basement wasn't used a lot, the homeowner wanted to fix the problem before moving and selling the house. They didn't want to pass the problem on to the next owner.

After getting advice, the homeowner chose Thrasher to fix the problem. They liked that we would take care of everything, offer a warranty that could be transferred to the next owner when they sell the house and that our service was recommended by their friends.

To stop the water from coming in, we put a special barrier called CleanSpace and a system called WaterGuard along the east wall. This combination keeps water from getting into the foundation. We also put in a TwinLiner and an M53 pump under the stairs. This helps collect water that comes in through the bottom of the wall or joints and moves it away from the house.

This homeowner is planning to remodel his basement and is tired of dealing with water issues. Before he starts the renovations he wants to ensure the space is waterproof. We determined that hydrostatic pressure was causing water to come through the cold joints and some wall bowing is also resulting from this. We sent Service Technician Andrew Davis to inspect the basement and determine what was preventing her from using this space now as well as install solutions to fix the found problems. Andrew found that one of the walls containing a shelf was deflecting inward, causing an unstable foundation wall and some water to start leaking in through the cracks in the wall. He knew just how to fix this problem, so after discussing his solution with the homeowner, he got right to work on installing PowerBraces to help push back the wall over time, then he installed Waterguard Interior Drainage System and CleanSpace Vapor Barrier to effectively waterproof the basement space.
