Basement Waterproofing & Drainage Before & After Photos

Estel T. in South Sioux City, NE was looking to do some maintenance on his home. For a while now he been having problems with water leaking in his basement. Not wanting to deal with the cleanup and mess anymore, he decided it was time to investigate waterproofing solutions. After hearing about Thrasher’s reputation, he gave us a call.

System Design Jon Young went out to Estel’s home. He was able to identify that there was no waterproofing system in place. The crew installed WaterGuard, an interior basement drainage system. Also, to keep the walls dry, they encapsulated the areas with CleanSpace, so water would no longer come through. From start to finish Estel thought the process went smoothly and was happy not to have to worry about the water anymore.

Randy N. is a retired homeowner in Lincoln, NE and has struggled to keep his finished basement dry after snow melt and the heavy amounts of rain early in the spring. Randy has used Thrasher before with a previous project and couldn’t have been happier with the outcome.  System Design Specialist Deon Thoene arrived at the home in Lincoln to perform a complete inspection. It was determined that the water seeping into the basement was caused by hydrostatic pressure and the existing drain tile failing to keep the water out. To combat this, the team installed our WaterGuard interior drainage system to drain water effectively year-round. Then, they applied our CleanSpace waterproof barrier to all the walls to restrict any moisture and water vapors from entering the basement. Lastly, a TripleSafe sump pump system was installed to guarantee protection from the common causes of pump failure. These three products combined provide a permanent solution to any wet basement.

Randy was thrilled with the results and couldn’t have been more pleased with the Thrasher solution once again. With our 25-year warranty in place, we were able to restore his peace of mind and make his basement a functional living space for him and his family to enjoy.  

We installed CleanSpace to these basement walls! CleanSpace is a vapor barrier that attaches to the basement or crawl space walls. It does a great job of preventing water from entering your home. And you can put drywall over it, too!

When it rains a lot, homeowner Rick has to deal with water coming into his basement. On top of that, he's noticed a lot of water pooling on his patio. Rick travels a lot and always gets worried that his basement will flood when he's out of town. To ease his anxiety, he knew he needed some help. Our System Design Specialist, Matt Stice, went out to Rick's home to see what was going on and come up with a solution. Matt discovered the water was coming in on the east wall in the basement. The best plan of action was to install floor-to-ceiling Cleanspace with WaterGuard on the east and south wall with a Super Sump Plus in the southeast corner to help with waterproofing. And then, to stabilize the wall, we installed Geolock Anchors.

Rick was so excited that this home he's had for 27 years is now in tip-top shape. And so thankful that he no longer has to worry about water on his basement floor when he travels.

Our customers in Lincoln, NE would have large amounts of water in their basement every time they got large amounts of rain. With plans on selling their home in the future and not wanting to have to deal with the hassle of cleaning up water after every rainfall, they decided to call Thrasher to get their issues resolved. 

The crew came out and found they had a wall failure on one part of the basement creating the majority of their water problems, eventually, over time the pressure from the water could cause this wall to collapse. Our team decided to fix the problem areas with full-perimeter WaterGaurd and PowerBraces. WaterGaurd is an interior drainage system that drains any water getting into the basement to a sump pump and moves the water away from your home. Next, we used PowerBraces to support the falling wall, this is an I-beam that runs the full height of the foundation that is securely fastened to the concrete basement floor. Both of these systems installed now give support to the wall causing the water leakage and will drain other water points getting into the basement.

This customer no longer has to worry about a wet basement or a potential wall failure and can look to sell their home without these lingering issues around their home.
