Crawl Space Repair Before & After Photos

Homeowner Susan M. in Clive, IA was growing tired of the crawl space always being dirty and having bugs and mice in the space. The space has never been sealed off from the outside, so she was ready to make the space feel cleaner and brighter. Service Technician Brandon Roast went out to Susan’s home. He performed a thorough inspection of the crawl space. It was dark and the plastic lining had many holes in it. The crew encapsulated the space with CleanSpace and sealed up all the seams and tops to make sure the space was useable, and nothing could get in the crawl space again. Susan was very impressed with the quality of work and how well the crew worked together.

Robert B. started to notice that the floors in the crawl space were sagging, and that doors and windows were not closing properly. This customer noticed some cosmetic damage in her kitchen. The drywall tape was pulling away from the center wall in the kitchen and you could see the damage on the ceiling.

When we inspected the home, we found the problem was there was inadequate support holding up the home in the crawl space. We installed double the supports in the crawl space to fix the issue. We used our SmartJack Support system, that you can see in the photos above.

Our customer called us with concerns about a cold, damp draft above the crawlspace in their home. To address the issue, we installed CleanSpace with a SmartDrain system.

As soon as water enters the cup, the buoyant ball effortlessly floats, triggering the opening of the drain to allow for immediate water evacuation. Once the water subsides, the ball seamlessly reseals the drain, effectively maintaining an impermeable barrier. Additionally, the SmartDrain system features an integrated WaterWatch® Alarm that promptly alerts homeowners in the event of water detection, ensuring swift action can be taken.

Louis closed on his new house in September 2021 and wanted to address the issue of excessive moisture and high humidity levels in the crawl space.
