This homeowner was having a musty smell coming from their crawlspace. Some rooms were colder or warmer than others during the different times of the year above the crawlspace. Their basement was connected to their crawlspace, and knew they could not finish their basement until they corrected the crawlspace. Dylan found the crawlspace to be very humid and the vents were not block off or encapsulated. This was causing the musty and moldy smell. Dylan proposed we use silver flow in the rim joist for the insulation, and encapsulated the crawlspace using CleanSpace. CleanSpace acts as barrier between the walls of the crawlspace and the middle, prevent water to get through. It is also waterproof, so it prevents mold growth. He also talked about the idea of a dehumidifier to get rid of the rest of the musty smell. They loved the look of the CleanSpace in the crawlspace when it was completed. There is no doubt they are ready to finish the rest of their basement worry free!
