Settling Porch Repair in Parsons, KS

This homeowner in Parsons, KS has been living in their house for many years and has begun to notice gaps and small cracks forming on their front porch leading up into the house. They wanted to get this checked out before it got any worse and started causing more problems to other parts of their home. After seeing our trucks in the area at their neighbor's houses, they decided to have Thrasher help fix their problem. 

Having extremely dry weather in this area at the time was causing many similar problems like this around the neighborhood. After inspecting the porch, we noticed the footing and stem wall on the porch had settled and were no longer supporting the porch. The crew determined that using helical piers to stabilize the porch and lift it back up was the best option. This system of piers stabilizes the sinking, settling foundation by advancing deep into the soil and transferring the weight of the porch onto the piers. 

After the installation, this customer no longer had to worry about the sinking of their porch or any other foundation problems stemming from it. They were very pleased with the work and happy we could solve the problem!
