Jesus C. and his family are buying their first house and have a baby on the way. They want to make sure their foundation is stable so they can use the basement for their growing family.

All of their walls were tipping in. We used PowerBraces and Geo-Lock wall anchors. This allows us to stabilize the walls and straighten them over time.  

Long-time homeowners were looking to sell their home but noticed that they were having trouble with the foundation. Cracks starting to appear in the drywall, floors and back patio. Looking for solution they decided to call Thrasher.

We were able to install Push Pier’s to stabilize the home. We attached the Push Piers to the footings of the home, stabilizing the foundation and prevent further settlement from occurring.

These homeowners in Sioux City, IA noticed cold and hot air entering the inside of their home during each season. In the winter, cold air was seeping through the basement and floors above making it costly to heat the home. During the summer, hot and humid air was leaking into the basement making it an uncomfortable space to be in. All these negative effects are caused by a poorly insulated crawl space.  System Design Specialist Corey Little and our team arrived at the Sioux City home and immediately began work on the crawl space encapsulation. Our team started by installing SilverGlo insulation to reflect and trap the heat in the crawl space. That was then paired with our CleanSpace waterproof liner to limit the amount of water vapor that can enter the space, and keep it dry to prevent mold and foul odors. These two products together provide a permanent solution for crawl space insulation.

 The customers were pleased with the efficiency, professionalism, and communication displayed by the team. In addition, they were impressed with the quality of work, and happy to have a peace of mind moving forward through the seasons.

New homeowners in Sioux City, IA just moved into their home and were concerned about a wall crack. Upon inspection of the home before the sale, they were told to keep an eye on it. Worried that the crack would get worse they decided to give Thrasher a call.

Our crew went out and upon inspection found one of the walls was in stage 2 of wall failure. We installed PowerBraces on the wall permanently stabilizing the wall and giving it the support, it needs.

A homeowner in Sioux City, IA was having trouble with uneven concrete around the pool. The concrete had significant settlements and created a major tripping hazard. The crew used a combination of PolyLevel and NexusPro Joint Sealant to level the concrete and close the exposed joints, creating a smooth and even surface, eliminating any tripping hazards. 

It’s understandable that no homeowner wants to deal with a failing basement wall. Unfortunately for those homeowners in the marker to sell their homes, neither do potential home buyers. This is the situation Dena S. in Hornick, Iowa was facing as she received low ball offer after low ball offer on her home due to stage 3 wall failure.

Dena had heard of Thrasher Foundation and trusted that we would do a good job, but also knowing that the work would come with a transferable warranty for the next homeowner was another reason why she chose to work with us. Once we had inspected the home and proposed our solution, Dena said they she couldn’t wait to get this job going so she could finally sell her house!

We fixed the problem by permanently stabilizing the 2 walls. On one wall we used our Everbrace wall support system due to it exhibiting extreme wall failure. On the second wall we used our Powerbrace wall support system to permanently halt the inward movement of the wall and possibly straighten over time if the new owner wishes to.

Once buyers found out she was getting the wall fixed with Thrasher, she got an offer right away and is closing right when the work is done.

The customer was remodeling this home to sell to some people he knows. He wanted to make sure the basement would stay dry and that the water issues he experienced with the home doesn't cause future problems for them. Water would get into the basement when we got heavy rain. He would have to push the water over to the drain to get it out of the basement.

We used our WaterGaurd system all the way around the basement to ensure the whole thing would stay dry all the time. We put in full height clean space to limit the amount of water vapor getting into the home. We also used our triple safe pump to make sure they won't have to deal with the stress of a sump system failure. 

He enjoyed that our system would guarantee the basement space to be dry. He knows the quality work we put into homes and know we will make sure the new homeowners will have no problems. The new homeowners and he also liked that the 25-year warranty would transfer over to them.

We were able to meet with the current and future homeowners and they worked so well together to design a system that would fully take care of their needs. They were so happy that we can make sure the basement always stays dry and it won't be a problem for them. The future homeowner was worried the moisture would cause health concerns for their family. 

There were many tripping hazards happening at this Air Base. Most of them happening on the walkway. They needed someone to come help them fix these issues, as they did not want anyone to trip, fall, or get hurt. They called on Thrasher because they knew of Thrasher's great warranties. They knew if anything were to happen again, they would have someone to call. They also knew if they would get these panels replaced, they would probably just settle again. One of our System Design Specialists, Corey Little, came out to meet with them. Corey explained to them that the soil was the issue. Water had gotten under, then a drought, which shrunk the soil and left a void for the concrete to drop. Corey proposed using PolyLevel to lift these slabs back up into place and permanently stabilize them. Our PolyLevel is a foam that is waterproof. It is injected under the concrete, lifts the concrete, then hardens. This makes it stay in place and the water won't wash it away. They were very pleased with how well the concrete lifted. They were also very pleased that Thrasher took the extra step to caulk the larger faps in some of the slabs for them. We were proud and honored to do this work for the Air Base! 

This homeowner was wanting to tear apart the basement because he wants to remodel and make some nice additions and make it a livable space. He was unaware of the wall failure until he starting moving things around. He knew he needed someone that can do quality work and ensure the can finish their basement safely and confidently. The gave Thrasher a call, and System Design Specialist, Corey Little, came out to meet with him. He determined the wall was starting to fail due to the expansive clay soil and hydrostatic pressure from water building up. Since the wall had some major movement, Corey proposed we use our Everbrace system. We would use beams and steel paneling that has foam pumped in between the failing wall and the wall we created to transfer the weight off the failing walls. He also proposed WaterGuard with a sump pump, so if any water were to get behind the EverBrace, it would simply flow into the WaterGuard and into the sump pump. This way, there would be no need to cut into the Everbrace system if there was concerns of water later on. The homeowners loved this idea and were pleased they would not have to move out for this repair. There is no doubt they will have peace of mind with their system that and a company that stands behind their 25 year warranty. 

This homeowner was wanting to maintain the value of her home. She is planning on moving down the road, and wanted to ensure she gets full retail value out of her home. She did not want to replace either. She called Thrasher because she was impressed with our professionalism and loved our 5 year warranty on her driveway. System Design Specialist, Corey Little, came out to meet with her about this issue. Corey found her driveway was starting to settle and crack in a few areas due to the soil not being reliable enough to hold it in place. This was due to poor soil compaction and open joints allowing water to wash away or weaken the soil. Corey went back to the homeowner with these findings, and together they decided on using our Two Part Concrete Protection System. We used Polylevel foam to lift the areas in the driveway  and stabilize the rest of the driveway to prevent any further settlement. After the lifts were completed, we used our caulking, NexusPro to seal the joints and cracks in her driveway to prevent water from traveling underneath. She loved the solution and the warranty, so we sent out our installation team. There is no doubt this homeowner and future homeowners will have the peace of mind they need! 

Laura has been living in her home for a long time and knew she had issues with her gutters clogging. She wants to keep living in this home for a while and doesn't want to keep worrying about it. She has worked with us in the past, so she knew she trusted us and wanted us back out. System Design Specialist, Taylor Wooten, came out to meet with her. Taylor did his inspection, and noticed there was damage to the existing gutter protection, which was not allowing the water to drain properly. Taylor proposed we install our Raindrop gutter protection. It is our durable gutter guard that helps keep debris and leaves out of the gutters. The Laura loved this solution and we sent out our installation team. There is no doubt Laura does not have to worry about her gutter clogging anymore! 

This homeowner was elderly, and did not need to be climbing up his ladder to clean out the gutters. His family was worried as a neighbor down the street was had fallen off his ladder. They had been thinking about it for a long time, but knew it was time to get it looked at. We had been out to waterproof their basement, so they knew they could trust us. They gave us a call and System Design Specialist, Stephen Edgar, came out to meet with them. Stephen did his inspection, and saw they had wire mesh on the gutters. After a big snow storm the guards had failed, allowing lots of leaves in causing the gutters to clog. Stephen knew we had the perfect product for them. He proposed we install our RainDrop to their gutters. RainDrop can attach to almost any universal gutter, and it is durable preventing any leaves or debris to get into the gutters. The homeowner loved this solution and their family loved he would not be up on a ladder anymore. There is no doubt this family has the peace of mind they were looking for. 

We are very happy the way things went and happy we don't have to climb a ladder to clean our gutters anymore. 

This family bought their home a year ago and just noticed water coming in. They knew of Thrasher and our reputation, so they gave us a call. System Design Specialist, Jordan Comstock, came out to meet with them. Jordan did his inspection, and found the grading was allowing water to come back towards the home. The control joints were not sealed and allowed a lot of the concrete to settle. Downspouts were only a few inches away from the home, which was allowing water to come back to the foundation. To permanently fix this issue, Jordan proposed we install our waterproofing system, WaterGuard partnered with our TripleSafe sump, buried downspouts, and NexusPro to seal the joints in their concrete. WaterGuard is our drainage system that collects water coming in from the cold joint and sends it to the sump pump. The family loved this solution as they can stop these small problems before it turned into a bigger one. There is no doubt they will not have to worry about water in their basement again.
