This homeowner was worried that her retaining wall would fall and her deck to collapse as they were both unsteady. She knew after having used our services in the past that we would be able to help ease these worries and find solutions for her again, so she gave us a call.

We sent System Design Specialist Brock Scott to inspect the retaining wall and deck structures in order to thoroughly understand the problems and design solutions to stabilize the structure. When inspecting for the problem, Brock noticed that the house appeared to have significant water damage to the wooden support wall as well as weakened soil due to soil washout. He knew that this damage would not be beneficial for supporting the deck, so he found that new support posts and anchors were needed. One of our installation teams came to the home and started to utilize SmartJacks to reinforce the deck supports and to support the roof structure in that area. After that, they utilized GeoLock Wall Anchors to pull the retaining wall back overtime which would help the structure to further stabilize.

This homeowner had been concerned about the condition of his west wall for over 30 years. He didn't want the next owner of him home to worry about this problem as well, so he decided to enlist the help of professionals.

We sent System Design Specialist Nick Wessling to inspect the west wall for damage as well as suggest a solution that would effectively strengthen the home's foundation wall. Nick found that the west wall of the home has been slowly failing over the last 30 years and that this was a visible problem even from the outside of the home; In fact, a window had broken because it was not supported by this wall. He suggested to the homeowner that a wall repair brace should be utilized in order to support and stabilize the wall over time and the homeowner was very happy with this idea. One of our installation teams came to this home and started to stabilize the wall utilizing PowerBraces to push the wall back upright overtime. After that, they supported the failing interior wall by using SmartJacks to combat the problem of crumbling bricks on the wall.

This homeowner wanted to have a dry basement because it was getting harder and harder for him to keep mopping up all of the water. He wanted this problem solved by experts in basement waterproofing, so he gave us a call. We sent System Design Specialist Luke Miller to inspect the basement and determine what was causing water to get into the basement as well as design a comprehensive solution to keep water out. Luke found that the floor/wall join around the perimeter of the basement was leaking water onto the floor as well as through some cracks in the floor itself. Upon seeing this, he knew that full perimeter solution was needed as well as a lateral line to capture water that was seeping in through the floor cracks, so he called for an installation team as per the homeowner's request. One of our installation teams utilized a full perimeter WaterGuard Interior Drainage System as well as a partial height CleanSpace Vapor Barrier. After that, they  installed a lateral line to capture water that was coming through the middle of the floor before it could get into the basement. They topped it off by installing a TripleSafe Sump Pump System to push all of this water up and away from the basement. This homeowner was done with mudjacking. They had gotten their driveway done and a year later their problems were back. They wanted a permanent solution that could address the cracking and sinking of their driveway. Not only was this a trip hazard, but they saw it as an eyesore. They knew of Thrasher and how we offer permanent solutions. They liked the idea of our PolyLevel and knew we would stand behind the work that was completed. One of our System Design Specialists, Rob Griffin, went out to meet with them. He explained that due to loose fill soil, the concrete on the front of their home was experiencing the sinking and cracking. Rob proposed we use the waterproof PolyLevel foam to lift the sinking concrete, as well as Nexus Pro to fix the cracks, and a compression guard to reduce the street creep cracking. The customers loved how the PolyLevel was waterproof, and would not wash away after a year like mudjacking. They also were very happy with how the crew completed the work as promised. There is no doubt that these homeowners have peace of mind for all of the concrete in front of their home.
