This homeowner wanted to be able to use the basement of his home without worrying that water might be stuck in the carpet. He knew the problem of water was only getting worse over time, so he decided to give us a call to see what solutions we could offer him to help.
We sent System Design Specialist Ian Pfister to inspect the source and cause of water and determine a comprehensive solution to waterproof this homeowner's basement. Ian found that someone had previously done waterproofing work in their home. He saw that they had installed a drain in the floor that connected to the sump pit, probably thinking that it would take water that was coming up there and divert it to the sump pump, however once the carpet was over the uncovered sump pit, the carpet would get soaked and nothing was drained. After seeing this problematic solution someone else had given this homeowner, Ian knew that we needed to restore the homeowner's faith in a waterproofing contractor, so he gave the homeowner a detailed description of both the problem and the solutions that we could offer to fix this water problem. The homeowner was happy with this conversation, and he decided to schedule an installation appointment with our team.
Our installation team utilized a lateral perforated drain through the center of the basement area as well as installing a TripleSafe Sump Pump system in which the line would drain to. The homeowner was very happy with the timeliness of the crew as well as how the basement looks now. Check out the newly installed waterproofing systems!
