Farmhouse Wall Stabilization

This customer wanted to stabilize his old farmhouse wall since he and his family were planning on living there for a long time. The home's wall was bowing due to pressure from the soil and water. This problem needed to be solved. We installed PowerBraes to the wall to support the inward movement it was experiencing. PowerBraces not only stabilize walls, but they can reverse wall bowing over time by being tightened regularly!

Patio Sealed in Papillion, NE

This homeowner wanted his back patio sealed because he was worried about water getting in his foundation and continuing to sink his patio. The problem was that the back patio had slightly settled and the previous caulking had hardened and cracked and no longer functioned properly. Our team cleaned out the old caulking which was challenging because it was so hard it was almost like cutting out concrete. We then installed NexusPro to properly seal the joints, creating a water-proof patio!

Real Estate Market Prep

This homeowner had to pull her house off the market due to structural issues. She wanted these foundation issues addressed and fixed in a timely manner so she could sell her home at full value. The soil on the outside of the wall had pushed the poured wall in about an inch, causing cracks in both corners and several drywall cracks in the finished area. We installed GeoLock earth anchors to permanently stabilize the foundation wall and prevent more inward movement.

Waterproof Basement in Culbertson, NE!

These homeowners want a dry basement, all of the time. They're tired of dealing with water issues that are coming from foundation joints and from the wall. Thrasher was recommended to these homeowners and we installed WaterGuard, CleanSpace, and a TripleSafe sump pump, creating a waterproof basement!

Waterproofing a Basement in Waukee, IA

This customer owns a rental property and contacted us about water problems in the basement causing leaks in the carpeted area. We found that the water was coming through the concrete block wall. Water can seep through concrete block walls due to different reasons like pressure, small pores in the blocks, poor drainage, cracks, lack of waterproofing, and freezing and thawing cycles.

Pressure from water in the soil can force it through cracks or porous areas in the blocks during heavy rain. Poor drainage systems can lead to water build-up and pressure against the foundation. Cracks in the foundation or blocks create paths for water entry, and poor waterproofing makes the walls more vulnerable. In colder climates, freeze-thaw cycles can widen cracks and allow water to enter.

To solve the water problem, we used two solutions: WaterGuard and CleanSpace. WaterGuard is a drainage system that collects and redirects water along the basement walls. CleanSpace is a moisture-resistant barrier installed on the walls to prevent water and moisture from getting in. The renters are happy with the property owner's quick and effective resolution of the water issue and Thrasher Foundation Repair is happy to have helped!
