This homeowner was concerned with his home's foundation and the interior damage that was starting to occur as a result. Our team went out to take a look at the issue and concluded that hydrostatic pressure pushing on the walls from the outside caused wall deflection. Deflection is the bending of joists, trusses, or rafters. We used over 20 PowerBraces and 4 push piers to fix the foundation on all sides of the home. PowerBrace is a system that can be tightened over time, slowly reversing the wall failure. 

Our customer called us with concerns about a cold, damp draft above the crawlspace in their home. To address the issue, we installed CleanSpace with a SmartDrain system.

The SmartDrain System is an advanced drainage system designed specifically for crawl spaces. It consists of a meticulously engineered bottomless liner that is complemented by an airtight lid. This intelligent system serves as a safeguard against plumbing mishaps or unexpected water intrusion by swiftly channeling the water away from the crawl space.

During the installation process, we meticulously create a dedicated drywell that houses the SmartDrain system. To ensure optimal performance and longevity, we surround the drain with a carefully selected bed of clean drainage stone. This strategic arrangement effectively isolates the drain from the surrounding soil, significantly reducing the risk of clogs and obstructions.

What sets the SmartDrain system apart is its ingenious ball-and-cup drain mechanism. As soon as water enters the cup, the buoyant ball effortlessly floats, triggering the opening of the drain to allow for immediate water evacuation. Once the water subsides, the ball seamlessly reseals the drain, effectively maintaining an impermeable barrier. Additionally, the SmartDrain system features an integrated WaterWatch® Alarm that promptly alerts homeowners in the event of water detection, ensuring swift action can be taken.

The advantages of our comprehensive solution are numerous. The SmartDrain system comes with a meticulously engineered airtight lid that seamlessly integrates with our overall crawl space system, ensuring optimal performance. With the inclusion of a reliable flood alarm system, homeowners gain an extra layer of protection and peace of mind. The ball-and-cup drain design operates flawlessly within its bed of clean drainage stone, maximizing efficiency while minimizing the potential for blockages. For added convenience, the SmartDrain system can also be integrated with optional home alarm systems, allowing for comprehensive monitoring and control.

By implementing CleanSpace alongside the SmartDrain system, we effectively mitigate the issue of cold dampness in the area above the crawl space. This advanced solution not only promotes superior moisture control but also creates a more inviting and comfortable living environment for homeowners.

Our customer reached out to us when she noticed that her son's room had a water problem. To stop this, we used two products: WaterGuard and CleanSpace. WaterGuard captures water seepage through walls and leaks along the wall/floor joint. It's discreet and easy to install. It's also made of durable plastic that lasts without corrosion or decay. CleanSpace is a vapor barrier that prevents moisture from rendering through the walls. This stops issues like rot, mold, rust, odors, and pests. It also acts as an air barrier, making the crawl space more temperature-controlled for warmer floors and lower energy bills. CleanSpace also hinders the movement of harmful gases like radon. When combined with a radon mitigation system, it creates a safer and healthier living environment. By using WaterGuard and CleanSpace, we successfully addressed the water infiltration problem in the finished room. 

Mr. & Mrs. H were facing persistent water issues in their basement, along with concerns about the moisture and coldness in the bedrooms located above the crawlspaces. Their main goal was to eliminate water infiltration and regulate soil moisture in those areas.

To address these issues comprehensively, we implemented several solutions. First, we installed WaterGuard, a highly effective drainage system, along with a trench drain and lateral. These measures efficiently controlled the flow of water and directed it towards the Triple Safe sump pump, which effectively removed water from the basement.

In addition, we employed CleanSpace in the crawlspaces. This innovative vapor barrier served the purpose of isolating the soil from the house, effectively preventing the transfer of moisture and the resulting humidity that had been affecting the bedrooms.

This particular project stands out due to the unique nature of the house, which featured two crawlspaces that were larger than the basement itself. Despite the complexity of the situation, we were able to successfully address all of the customers' concerns and provide effective solutions. Now, Mr. & Mrs. H can enjoy a dry and comfortable basement, along with improved conditions in their bedrooms, eliminating the issues they had been facing.

Walter had experienced water intrusion in his basement on multiple occasions, which hindered his ability to fully enjoy the space. He desired to finish their basement, install attractive floor finishes, and transform it into a usable area within his home. Additionally, he expressed concerns about the basement's dim and gloomy atmosphere.

Furthermore, Walter was particularly worried about the potential presence of mold and musty smells, as he had lost his sense of smell and wanted to avoid dealing with such issues. After enduring years with an unfinished basement, he finally decided to invest in flooring and other enhancements. However, he wanted assurance that these improvements would not be compromised by future water problems.

To address these concerns, we installed full-height CleanSpace, a highly effective vapor barrier system that safeguards against mold, mildew, and unpleasant odors. Additionally, we installed a Triple Safe sump pump, providing the customer with added peace of mind and ample backup protection in the event of any future water infiltration.

By implementing these measures, we ensured that Walter's basement would be protected from potential water issues, allowing him to confidently proceed with their plans to finish the space and create a more inviting and enjoyable area within his home.
