Home Foundation Repair in Wymore, NE

In Wymore, NE a homeowner noticed her foundation walls moving inward over time. She is currently retired and no longer wants to worry about the walls failing or cleaning up the water in the basement. The walls were experiencing failure due to expansive soils putting pressure on the foundation and allowing water to seep in. She called Thrasher due to our extensive reputation and to deliver a permanent solution.

 System Design Specialist Trevor Stokes arrived in Wymore to perform a thorough inspection on the foundation walls. Two of the walls were bowing in and experiencing extreme failure, however one was worse than the other. The customer opted to have our PowerBrace support system installed to permanently stabilize the walls in their current place. The PowerBrace can be adjusted over time to straighten and return the wall to its vertical position. On the more damaged wall, our ShotLock restoration system was used to seal all cracks and give the wall the structure it needs.

 The customer was delighted with the final appearance and quality of the solution Thrasher was able to provide. She is now able to enjoy retirement with peace of mind knowing her foundation is secure, and her basement will stay dry year-round.

 

Wall Failure in Cortland, NE

Marilyn wants to remodel her basement. But before she invested in that, she had to first address why water would sometimes enter her basement. That's when she called Trasher. When System Design Specialist, Micah Waldo, visited her home to figure out the root of the issue, it was clear to Marilyn that Thrasher was the best choice for the job. Micah found that Marilyn had water seepage and wall failure along two walls in her basement. The existing beams were old and failing at supporting her foundation. 

The proposed solution involved installing a full perimeter of our CleanSpace, our waterproofing system, along with two walls of Thrasher wall support to replace the existing failing beams. 

Marilyn was so happy with how everything went. And now she can't wait to start refinishing!

 

 

Bowing Wall in Filley, NE

This homeowner was living in their home when they saw a wall bowing in. They knew this was an issue they needed to address soon, they called Thrasher. They knew we were in their service area, and after reading reviews knew that we would take care of them. System Design Specialist, Trevor Stokes,  came out to meet with them. Trevor saw the wall bowing in and determined it was from hydrostatic pressure. Hydrostatic pressure is when water in the soil from the outside pushes against the basement wall, and causes it to lean in. Trevor went back to the family with these findings and proposed we use Wall Anchors to help reinforce the wall and over time can straighten it back out. These plates are installed on the wall and into the ground in the yard. With the rods going horizontally, when the anchors are torqued, the wall starts to lean back to its original place. The homeowner liked this solution, and we sent out our installation team. The homeowner was very impressed with the job and we know they will not have to worry about any more leaning of their wall again.
