Dangers of Clogged Gutters?

Your gutters are an essential part of keeping your home safe from water damage. Some common problems caused by damaged gutters include:

  • Water from leaking gutters can cause basement flooding and foundation damage.
  • Water and snow must be able to slide off the roof and away from the home. Otherwise, you will be at risk for wood rot.
  • A wet basement from leaky gutters can cause mold growth.
  • Clogged gutters can lead to stagnant water, which can attract pests and insects.
  • An inefficient gutter can cause water to flood your landscape.

Vertical crack on cedar block wall

Neighborhood: Spencer Street, Omaha, 68111

I got an inspection on my home before I bought it in October. They noted cracks in the foundation but when I had a specialist look at it they said its an old home (over 100 years old) and there will be some settlement, but that the house should last a long time with regular house maintenance. In the last month or so pretty large cracks have appeared in the walls in my kitchen, and I am concerned things are shifting too much and would love to have a second opinion/have it evaluated to see if I need to have any repairs done and when if they are time sensitive.

Neighborhood: W Cir, Omaha, 68137

The driveway is sinking on one corner by the garage and the drive way is pushing on the garage causing a wall to start to crack, assuming due to street creep.
