A homeowner in Orange City, IA was planning on adding more living space and bedrooms in the basement for his family. But before he could add a bedroom, there was problems with water coming into the basement and he didn’t want the space to flood. Ready to learn about possible waterproofing solutions, he gave Thrasher a call.

Our crew was able to determine that the current sump pump couldn’t keep up and the water was coming in through the walls. We installed a new sump pump and put in WaterGaurd, so then the water would be directed into the sump pump. The walls were also encapsulated with CleanSpace to keep the area dry.

These homeowners in Granville, IA wanted to be able to use their basement as a space for storage, living, and as a play area for their grandchildren. Thrasher arrived at the home in Granville, IA and began by undergoing a full inspection of the wet basement. The homeowners chose to have our teams install a combination of our waterproofing products. To begin, we installed our WaterGuard interior drainage system and CleanSpace waterproof barrier around the full perimeter of the basement. To drain the collected water outside, we installed two of our TripleSafe sump pump systems to guarantee the basement stays dry year-round. This homeowner was having trouble with keeping gutters clear of debris. They have a lot of pine trees around their home. They would have to climb up on the ladder and them out three times a year. As they are aging, they don't want to have to climb up and clean them anymore. They knew Thrasher had a great reputation with great work and even better warranties, so they gave us a call. System Design Specialist, Stephen Edgar, came out to meet with them. Stephen found there was too much debris getting into the gutters, as there was no protection. He proposed we use our product called RainDrop. This is the best defense from clogged gutters. It provides the correct angle from roof to gutter to prevent debris from clogging, but also allow water to pass through even when the heaviest rain comes. Best thing about RainDrop, is that it can be installed into most universal gutters! The homeowners loved this idea, so we sent out the installation team. When the install was done, they were so happy with the results. They loved how smooth the process was and that she has a defense against her trees! 

These homeowners just moved into their forever home two months ago when they started to experience water issues. Water was finding its way in damaging the newly renovated basement, drywall, and carpet. They knew they wanted the project done right the first time and trusted Thrasher, so they gave us a call. System Design Specialist, Josh Brown, came out to meet them. Josh determined the water would find its way in during heavy storms through the cold joint and under the floor. Josh proposed we install our waterproofing system, including WaterGuard, CleanSpace, and a Triple Safe Sump Pump. CleanSpace would collect the water coming in from any cracks in the walls, acting like a barrier between the wall and the basement and feed it into the WaterGuard, WaterGuard is placed through the perimeter of the basement, collecting any water from the CleanSpace, cracks around the footings, and the cold joint. The WaterGuard sends the water into our sump pump, and discharges it out side of the home at safe distance. The homeowners loved this idea, and knew it could be done right the first time, so we sent out our installation team! The homeowners loved the finished product and even gave us a 5 star review. There is no doubt they are enjoying their forever home without anymore worry. 

This homeowner was concerned about the safety of their driveway. It was unlevel and cracking causing tripping hazards for their grandkids and guests they had over. They chose Thrasher because they knew it would be quality work and that we would stand behind the job we did. 

When we came out to inspect the concrete, we found that the concrete was starting to crack this was due to a failed expansion joint causing pressure on the driveway. To fix the problem, we used Compression Guard to give them a buffer to absorb their expanding concrete. We then used Nexuspro to caulk up all joints and cracks in the driveway to prevent water intrusion underneath the slabs. 

They also had downspouts too close to the home that needed to be put out further. We buried their downspouts so they can have a neat, clean appearance in the yard.

The customer was happy to take care of these problems and ensure the value of their home is maintained and their grandkids are safe.

This homeowner was looking to sell her home and wanted to keep the property value up. She wanted to make sure any fixes that were needed were fixed right the first time to ensure the peace of mind for the new homeowners. Jordan surveyed the area, and found the soil had expanded and caused deflection in the wall. A combination of dry out and wash out also caused settling of the footing and concrete garage slabs. Jordan went back to the homeowner with these findings, and together came up with the best solution. We used push piers to fix the settlement in her basement, PowerBraces to protect against deflection, and possibly straighten the wall back out over the years, and lastly we used PolyLevel to fix the garage slabs settling. The homeowner loved this solution and we sent out our installation team. There is no doubt this current homeowner and homeowners to come will have the peace of mind their home is safe.
